The Board of Trustees of the Northwest Kidney Centers has elected Dr. Rajnish Mehrotra as the Chair of the Board for a two year term starting July 1, 2021.
The Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) was founded in 1962 as the world’s first outpatient dialysis organization, to make the innovations in long-term dialysis at the University of Washington available to the residents of King County. NKC has continued to build on this tradition of excellence and has been at the leading edge of innovation in care delivery. It has been the major supporter of path-breaking research at the UW’s Kidney Research Institute and the Center for Dialysis Innovation.
Dr. Mehrotra is the interim Head of the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine. In his role as the Chair, he will be responsible for leading the Board of Trustees for the management and administration of the affairs of the corporation for two years.
