The National Kidney Foundation will honor two faculty members at the University of Washington School of Medicine for their contributions to kidney-disease research.

Dr. Katherine Tuttle, a clinical professor of medicine, will receive the the Garabed Eknoyan Award for her work to advance the early diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease.

Dr. Jonathan Himmelfarb, a professor of medicine, will receive the Donald W. Seldin Award for excellence in clinical nephrology.The awards will be given at the foundation's spring meeting in Orlando, Florida.
