WHY UW?
UW appealed to me as a nephrology program that offered intense clinical exposure, a well-established research network, and formal public health education. On interviewing, the camaraderie within the department and the faculty's dedication to fellows' professional development were immediately apparent to me. Put simply, I wanted to be a part of it! Also, the stunning mountains and landscapes in the immediate vicinity didn't hurt.
